This study focuses on the validation of a wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence (WD-XRF) spectrometer for rapid determination iron (Fe) and zinc (Zn) concentrations in certified reference materials (CRMs). Five CRMs were used to establish calibration curves. The results analyzed terms accuracy, precision, repeatability linearity assess performance WD-XRF method. Accuracy was evaluated by comparing measured values values, with relative accuracy calculated each sample. Precision determined through repeatability, where samples at least 7 replicates across different days, standard deviation (RSD) calculated. Linearity assessed plotting intensities against concentrations, correlation coefficient (R2) close 1, indicating strong linear relationship. Additionally, method demonstrated high low RSD multiple measurements. concluded that is reliable analysis elemental composition, providing precision Fe Zn can be applied as valuable non-destructive various agricultural food-related applications. HIGHLIGHTS effectiveness confirm its reliability determining specifically (Zn), plant-based 2 known test determine analytical WD-XRF. revealed R-square being greater than 0.95 recovery percentage range from 98.75 - 109.66 concentration. rice seeds. In this study, the effectiveness of three choline chloride (ChCl)-based deep eutectic solvents (DESs) formed using malonic acid (MalA), glycerol (Gly), and glucose (Glu) as hydrogen bond donors two conventional (50% methanol 50% ethanol) for ultrasonic-assisted extraction (UAE) antioxidant compounds from four herbs (chamomile, lemon balm, nettle, spearmint) were estimated. The capacity (AC) obtained herb extracts was determined by modified 2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS), 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), cupric reducing (CUPRAC) methods. Profiles phenolic acids, flavonoid aglycones, glycosides in green quantitatively analyzed ultra-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC). Among prepared DESs, highest potential total contents achieved ChCl:MalA (1:1). Unexpectedly, selected extracted significantly lower amounts antioxidants investigated than alcohols. Additionally, macroelements (K, Na, Ca, Mg), micronutrients (Mn, Zn, Fe, Cu), a toxic element (Cd) inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). Determining compositions elements is essential understanding their nutritive importance when applied food, cosmetic, pharmaceutical industries.

Members of Asteraceae family have properties enabling their application for medical purposes. The major- and microelement content in 15 medicinal species the growing National Botanical Garden, Republic Moldova was determined by instrumental neutron activation analysis. A total 31 chemical elements, Na, Mg, Al, Cl, K, Ca, Sc, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Zn, As, Se, Br, Rb, Sr, Mo, Sb, Cs, Ba, La, Ce, Sm, Tb, Hf, Ta, Th U, were identified herbal samples. Potassium found to be most abundant major element; its plants ranged from 20,700 mg/kg Artemisia lerchiana 58,000 Matricaria recutita. other elements existed following ranges: Ca 4700 14,200 Mg 1710 3870 mg/kg. maximum K analyzed higher compared data presented literature. Among essential microelements Fe (83–910 mg/kg), Mn (23–150 mg/kg) Zn (27–76 mg/kg). daily intake metal health risk index selected (As, Zn) calculated. Health indexes obtained V Co Calendula officinalis, Tanacetum balsamita, Achillea clypeolata, balchanorum, lerchiana, Helichrysum arenarium, principal component analysis showed three associations which can defined as physiological, geological anthropogenic sources elements.
