In this work, OP- and OC-degrading bacteria were isolated from agricultural soil samples taken in the department of Bolivar, Colombia. The objective research was to degrade organochlorine organophosphorus pesticides using bacterial colonies native soils. Two samples, which showed a higher degree adaptation media contaminated with pesticide mixtures. They identified by biochemical tests BBL Crystal kits, and, subsequently, their 16S rDNA sequenced PCR technique. Bacterial growth studied OD index, taking absorbance readings on UV-VIS spectrophotometer at 600 nm, 0.5 McFarland scale, quantification degradation GC–MS. Bacillus cereus Paenibacillus lautus. B. isolates exposed OPs malathion, chlorpyrifos, coumaphos [80 mg·L−1], degrading rates 52.4%, 78.8% 79.5%, respectively, after 12 days incubation liquid medium pH = 7.0 ± 0.2 37 °C. Furthermore, P. lautus OCs lindane, metolachlor, endrin, p,p′-DDT mg·L−1] degraded 64.0%, 60.8%, 55.7% 65.1% under same conditions temperature, pH, time. These results show that might be useful for cleaning up environments have been polluted OCs.
