Abstract Climate change has emerged as a significant occurrence that adversely affects broiler production, especially in tropical climates. Broiler chickens, bred for rapid growth and high meat rely heavily on optimal environmental conditions to achieve their genetic potential. However, climate disrupts these poses numerous challenges production. One of the primary impacts production is decreased ability birds attain potential faster growth. Broilers are possess specific traits enable them grow rapidly efficiently convert feed into meat. climates affected by change, consequent rise daily temperatures, increased humidity altered precipitation patterns create an unfavourable environment broilers. These impede development, preventing from reaching maximum influence, which crucial achieving desirable outcomes. Furthermore, exacerbates existing faced systems. Abstract Heat stress is a significant challenge in broiler chicken production, particularly tropical and subtropical regions. This study evaluates the effectiveness of habituation mitigating adverse effects heat chickens during hot-dry season. Sixty-day-old male chicks (Arbor Acres) were randomly divided into control ( n = 30) habituated groups 30). The group was subjected to 4 days training from 17 20. two tonic immobility (TI) test on day 21. Heterophil-to-lymphocyte (H:L) ratio, serum heat-shock protein 70 (Hsp70) expression, erythrocyte osmotic fragility assessed after TI test. results indicated that thermal environment period characterised by high dry-bulb temperatures temperature-humidity index (THI), indicating chickens. Habituated showed significantly reduced durations compared control. H:L ratio Hsp70 concentrations markedly decreased (P < 0.05) relative controls. There membrane group, with haemolysis group. In conclusion, these findings show season mitigated chickens, as evidenced durations, lower concentrations, enhanced stability. highlights importance behavioural strategy reducing sensitivity

Heat stress is one of the stressors that negatively affect broiler chickens, leading to a reduction in production efficiency and profitability. This affects economy general, especially hot semi-hot countries. Therefore, improving heat tolerance chicks key sustained peak performance, under adverse environmental conditions. The present study investigated three early feed withdrawal regimes (FWD) as potential mitigation for thermal exposure. A total 240 unsexed one-day-old Cobb-500 were randomly recruited four experimental groups using completely randomized design (10 birds × 6 replicates). included control group with no (control), while other subjected either 24 h on 5th day age (FWD-24), 12 3rd (FWD-12), or 8 3rd, 4th, (FWD-8), respectively. Production performance was monitored throughout experiment. Meanwhile, blood liver samples taken at end period evaluate major physiological dynamic changes. Our findings demonstrated chronic conditions, FWD treatments significantly improved broilers' enhanced several parameters compared control. Serum levels thyroid hormones elevated, whereas leptin hormone decreased Moreover, serum protein, globulin, hemoglobin higher, cholesterol uric acid lower groups. Furthermore, showed higher antioxidant marker activity lipid peroxidation level. Immunoglobulin levels, lysozyme, complement factor C3, shock protein 70 (HSP70) concentration also elevated Also, interleukin-1β (IL-1β) interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) increased FWD. Based our findings, can be applied promising non-invasive nutritional strategy broilers reared Such promotes alleviation deleterious effects immunity, redox status, owing onset adaptation development thermotolerance ability.

A total 168 one-day-old chicks Leghorn H-22, Sussex S-66 Rhode Island Red R-11 were allocated three experimental groups, respectively: 1, 2 3. birds reared litter until 64 weeks age. Bird mortality monitored during experiment, duration tonic immobility (TI) measured blood collected following determined: heterophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (H:L), corticosterone, adrenaline, noradrenaline serotonin. Behavioural observations made condition assessed. hen strains studied showed different fear rearing, as reflected behavioural test carried out basal H:L ratio. It shown that changes birds’ response strategies can occur with H-22 greater at both young age adulthood, characterised by poorer higher rearing. results, therefore, suggest strain has a propensity develop stereotypes such feather pecking compared R-11.
