A new forest-dwelling species of the Cyrtodactylus chauquangensis group is described from southwestern Yunnan Province, China. Phylogenetically, it was recovered as sister C. zhenkangensis , with a genetic distance 9.2% in ND2 gene. Morphologically, can be separated by discontinuity enlarged femoral scales and precloacal scales, absence pores, difference dorsal color pattern.
