Abstract We hypothesized that ram epididymal tail sperm may be efficiently activated in homologous seminal plasma compared to tris and sperm-TALP. Eighty ejaculates were collected from five healthy fertile rams by artificial vagina for harvesting of two-phase centrifugation. Spermatozoa three activation fluids- (SP), sperm-TALP (TP) buffer (TR) preserved at 4°C 72 hours. Sperm motility was higher (p<0.05) SP (64.33±4.80-48 hr; 52.50±2.14-72 hr) both TP (51.66±2.10-48 40.83±3.00-72 TR groups (52.50±4.03-48 41.66±3.33-72 48 hr cold storage. Sensitivity to freezing remains a critical issue in stallion semen cryopreservation procedures. To explore this topic in-depth, was collected from ten stallions, diluted with three different extenders, transported the laboratory, and then centrifuged frozen four extenders. We conducted analyses of sperm kinetics, mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP), hydrogen peroxide content both before after freezing. Dietary antioxidant supplementation has become popular for managing male infertility because of its impact on the capacity semen. This study evaluates effect dietary seminal characteristics Colombian Creole horses. Semen from six stallions was collected using an artificial vagina. Cryopreservation is a stressful process for sperm as it associated with an increased production of reactive oxygen species (ROS). Elevated ROS levels, which create imbalance antioxidant capacity, may result in membrane lipid peroxidation (LPO), protein damage and DNA fragmentation. This study aimed to determine whether LPO fragmentation frozen-thawed horse relies upon the activity, including enzymes (superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GPX), catalase (CAT), paraoxonase type 1 (PON1)); non-enzymatic capacity (Trolox equivalent (TEAC), plasma ferric reducing (FRAP), cupric (CUPRAC)); oxidative stress index (OSI), their seminal (SP).
