Various literature data show how a diet rich in vegetables could reduce the incidence of several cancers due to contribution natural polyphenols contained them. Polyphenols are attributed multiple pharmacological actions such as anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, antibiotic, antiseptic, anti-allergic, cardioprotective and even anti-tumor properties. The mechanisms involved their action include signaling pathways modulation associated with cell proliferation, differentiation, migration, angiogenesis, metastasis death. Since dysregulation death processes is cancer etiopathology, compounds able kill cells be used new anticancer agents. Apoptosis, programmed form death, most potent defense against main mechanism by both chemotherapy agents polyphenols. aim this review provide an update on apoptotic molecular induced some representative polyphenol family members cells. Abstract Resveratrol, curcumin, and quercetin are the secondary metabolites from medicinal food homology plants, that have been proven their potency in cancer treatment. However, antitumor effect of a single component is weak. So, herein, we designed an compound named RCQ composed resveratrol, quercetin. This study examined on tumorigenesis development 4T1 breast cancer-bearing mice following administering by intragastric administration. increased recruitment T cells reduced accumulation neutrophils macrophages tumor microenvironment. Meanwhile, suppressed tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes into immunosuppressive cell subpopulations, including CD4 + to helper Type 2 type (Th2), tumor-associated (TANs) N2 TANs, (TAMs) M2 TAMs. reversed predominance infiltrating microenvironment tipped immune balance toward activation state. In vitro showed significantly reactive oxygen species (ROS), reduce mitochondrial membrane potentials cells, modulate pro-apoptotic Bcl-2 family members. conclusion, can promote ROS apoptosis mechanism alleviate immunosuppression enhance anti-tumor effect.
