The high-temperature stress (30 °C, 35 40 °C) response of pollen performance in Punica granatum was analyzed. Pollen germination rate and tube length were significantly inhibited after °C treatment. According to cumulative index values, had the most destructive impact. High-temperature caused various abnormalities at tubes, especially apex common marked change elongation direction swelling. Although dense callose accumulation increase apex-localized reactive oxygen species noticed temperature treatment, harmful stated as °C.

Abstract Punica granatum peel is a significant source of polyphenolic compounds that have potential uses as drugs. This study aimed to obtain and purify derived from pomegranate evaluate their anticancer activity in cell lines. Polyphenols the were extracted using hybrid ultrasound‐microwave technology. Different mass:volume ratios water:ethanol used during extraction. Purification was performed on chromatographic column with Amberlite XAD‐16, unfractionated extracts fractions obtained. The main identified by HPLC belong ellagitannins family. extract 1:12 (m/v) 30% ethanol condition its cytotoxic effect against HeLa, HepG2, 3T3 MTT assay cytotoxicity (PPEs). Viability HeLa HepG2 cells affected dose‐dependent manner concentration 25 ppm polyphenol powders. Additionally, genotoxicity test carried out, which showed DNA damage, indicating possibly due part damage. use could be viable option for obtaining bioactive can adjuvants or treatment various diseases such cancer.

This study reports the fabrication of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) based hydrogel with pomegranate peel polyphenols (PPP) via freezing-thawing cycles method, employed as a cost-effective and efficient Congo Red (CR) adsorbent. Numerous techniques, including TGA, SEM, FTIR, XRD, DLS, BET, together universal stretching machine, were to confirm successful synthesis PVA/PPP hydrogels porous structures. When compared pure PVA hydrogel, showed greater adsorption capabilities for CR. The kinetic data coincided pseudo-second-order modeling (R2 = 0.9927). Freundlich isotherm was highly-conformed through 0.9985). CR appeared be exothermic spontaneous, according thermodynamic study. Moreover, following five consecutive runs, effectiveness remained above 88%, demonstrating their exceptional reusability. mechanisms analysis revealed that facilitated by electrostatic attraction, hydrogen bonding, π-π stacking interplays.

Background: Oral cancer is one of the most aggressive and invasive cancers with high metastatic potential. 11th highest number cases in world. treated chemotherapy radiotherapy. However, this therapy causes side effects form damage to normal cells surrounding tissue. Pomegranate extract contains polyphenols which may be great for inhibiting development oral cancer. Purpose: This article presents a systematic comprehensive review potential pomegranate as natural product inhibit Review: was obtained by ethanol extraction using maceration method. The main content polyphenolic compounds such punicalagin, tannins, flavonoids, ellagic acid. compound reduces ATP formation, shortens subG1 phase, increases apoptosis. At microcellular level, can activity MMP-2 or MMP-9 produce anti-proliferative, anti-angiogenesis pro-apoptotic processes at concentrations 25 50 μg/ml. Anti-proliferative are produced through mitochondrial mechanisms. Exposure after 72 hours reduce cell viability greater than exposure 24 hours. Conclusion: likely has four mechanisms cancer: invasion, migration growth cells, increasing apoptosis regulating antioxidant genes. So that material used candidate therapy.
