The extraction of bioactive compounds, such as flavonoids and coumarins, from natural sources has gained significant attention due to their potential health benefits. This review aims explore the application high-pressure processes, particularly supercritical fluid (SFE) pressurized liquid (PLE), for obtaining coumarins flower seeds. These techniques offer a greener, more efficient alternative conventional methods, minimizing use harmful solvents improving yield purity target compounds. Flower seeds, rich source molecules, are an underutilized reservoir these valuable For example, seeds plants Calendula officinalis (calendula) Helianthus annuus (sunflower) in coumarins. proposed will examine influence parameters—such temperature, pressure, solvent choice, time—on quality provide comprehensive understanding methods optimize protocols efficient, sustainable

Metabolic Brain Disease, Journal Year: 2025, Volume and Issue: 40(1)

Published: Jan. 6, 2025

Serious neurological disorders were associated with cadmium toxicity. Hence, this research aimed to investigate the potential neuroprotective impacts of ethanolic extracts Citrus aurantium unripe fruits and leaves (CAF CAL, respectively) at doses 100 200 mg/kg against chloride-provoked brain dysfunction in rats for 30 consecutive days. HPLC natural pigment content revealed that CAF implied higher contents Chlorophyll B, while CAL has a high yield chlorophyll A total carotenoid. Fifty-seven chromatographic peaks identified by UPLC/MS/MS; 49 29 recognized from or respectively. Four compounds isolated CAF: 3',4',7 -trihydroxyflavone, isorhainetin, vitexin, apigenin. In vitro studies outlined antioxidant capacity studied where showed better scavenging radical DPPH activity. Results clarified both superior function adopted dose significantly ameliorated CdCl
