This study aims to evaluate drug utilization antipsychotics disorder We conducted retrospective, descriptive, hospital-based cross-sectional among patients attending psychiatric department at Hospital X, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, from January May 2017. employed two methods analyse data: calculating percentage rational prescriptions computing based on defined daily dose (DDD) per 1000 patient days. In this study, there were 28 respondents between ages 26 46, with 98 total cases. 53.6% participants female, while 46.4% male. use concurrent administration was as follows: 69.39% precise use, 90.82% dose, 98.98% indication, 76.53% patient, drug. result showed stabilizer lithium had lowest annual consumption 2.15 DDD/1000 outpatient visits, sodium divalproex highest 26.66 visits. The escalating rates of morbidity and mortality associated with opioid use disorder (OUD) have spurred a critical need for improved treatment outcomes. This study aimed to investigate the impact prolonged exposure Fentanyl, potent opioid, on behavior, biochemical markers, oxidative stress, composition gut microbiome. Additionally, we sought explore therapeutic potential Anacyclus pyrethrum in mitigating adverse effects Fentanyl withdrawal. unveiled that chronic administration induced withdrawal syndrome characterized by elevated cortisol levels (12.09 mg/mL, compared 6.3 mg/mL control group). was accompanied heightened anxiety, indicated reduction time spent entries made into open arm Elevated Plus Maze Test, as well depressive-like behaviors, manifested through increased immobility Forced Swim Test. correlated decreased microbiome density diversity, coupled stress levels, evidenced malondialdehyde (MDA) reduced catalase (CAT) superoxide dismutase (SOD). However, both post- co-administration A. exhibited substantial improvements these effects, effectively alleviating symptoms OUD eliciting positive influences microbiota. In conclusion, this research underscores managing symptoms. findings indicate promising behavioral impairments, reducing restoring microbiota, offering valuable insights addressing challenges treatment.

Citrus aurantium holds widespread use in Moroccan society as a remedy for various diseases, owing to its significant pharmacological properties. The objective of this study was investigate the antioxidant activity, analgesic potential, and anti-lithiasis properties aqueous extracts both fruits juice aurantium. To achieve this, we employed techniques: activity assessed using 2,2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) reducing power assays (FRAP), while antinociceptive effect plant evaluated through writhing hotplate tests on mice. urolithiasis model induced rats administration ethylene glycol ammonium chloride, assessments were made based variations body weight, kidney histopathology, biochemical analysis urea creatinine. Our findings demonstrated (flowers juice) aurantium, represented by DPPH values 5.42±0.20 2.87±0.42, FRAP 4.23±0.05 1.67±0.13 flowers juice, respectively. obtained results also showed that significantly reduced number writhes increased latency time response thermal stimulus compared control group (p≤0.001). Both exhibited protective kidneys preventing formation oxalo-calcium crystals. histopathological groups treated with revealed marked reduction abnormalities observed Ethylene Glycol. Additionally, creatinine (p≤0.001), signifying an important anti-urolithiasic activity. Overall, potent antioxidant, antilithic activities, suggesting potential valuable natural source bioactive compounds therapeutic applications. Abstract Background Environmental pollutants, particularly heavy metals, have been frequently connected to male infertility. Cadmium was previously shown reduce fertility by causing oxidative stress. Anacyclus pyrethrum is a well-known medicinal plant. Most of its parts, notably the roots, excellent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. The present study investigated potential ability protect rats against cadmium reproductive toxicity. Methods Twenty-eight adult Wistar (8 weeks old) weighing (170-200g) were randomly divided into four groups ( n = 7): group (1) control, (2) orally administrated with extract (100mg/kg) for 56 consecutive days, (3) received single intraperitoneal (IP) injection chloride (1mg/kg), (4) IP dose CdCl 2 followed 8 oral treatment. Results Cd toxicity resulted in significant decrease concentration enzymes (superoxide dismutase SOD glutathione peroxidase GPx ) semen coupled rise malondialdehyde MDA level. Consequently, sperm analysis parameters significantly affected showing decreased motility, viability, increased morphological aberrations. DNA fragmentation also detected sperms exposed using comet assay. Serum levels testosterone T , follicle stimulating hormone FSH luteinizing LH decreased. mRNA expression sex receptors FSHR LHR AR testis Expression Bax Bcl2 genes intoxicated shifting / ratio towards induction apoptosis. Co-treatment restored activities formation lipid peroxidation byproduct, which turn ameliorated effect on parameters, damage, circulating levels, gene These results indicate that could serve as protective agent cadmium-induced Conclusion Taken together, it can be concluded quality enhanced Cd-intoxicated rats.
