Background and Objectives: Stress is a significant issue among dental students, with both psychological physiological impacts affecting their academic performance. This cross-sectional study aimed to explore the relationship between stress salivary biochemical markers, specifically cortisol total antioxidant capacity (TAC), in third- fifth-year students during 2022/2023 year. Materials Methods: included 44 participants from Faculty of Dental Medicine at Victor Babes University, Romania. Saliva samples were collected low-stress period prior exams (high-stress period). Results: Cortisol TAC levels measured using ELISA assays, respectively, decreasing an average 3.69 (SD ± 1.49) before 2.86 2.28) high-stress periods (p < 0.05), while showed non-significant change 23.69 35.6) ng/mL 20.44 23.07) ng/mL; additionally, female exhibited mean STAI score 91.65 5.13) compared 91.09 9.41) for males, indicating greater responses females.
