The
standardization
of
the
semen
cryopreservation
technique
could
be
an
effective
tool
in
poultry
for
conservation
genetic
resources.
During
this
process,

reactive
oxygen
species

leading

To
reduce

ABSTRACT
A
triad
of
enzymatic
antioxidants
viz.,
catalase
(CAT),
superoxide
dismutase
(SOD)
and
glutathione
peroxidase
(GPx)
constitutes
a
first
line
defence
against
any
redox
imbalances
in
the
semen.
Cryopreservation
enabling
long
term
storage
semen
also
prompts
generation
surplus
reactive
oxygen
species
(ROS)
cells
with
waned
antioxidants,
hampering
full
exploitation
this
process.
With
Japanese
quail
having
all
potential
to
satisfy
steeply
growing
poultry
demand,
there
is
need
for
its
propagation
via
sperm
preservation
assisted
reproduction.
Therefore,
current
study
aimed
at
investigating
semen,
level
decline

activity

cryopreservation
