Vitamin D, also called the “sunshine” vitamin, has gained great attention recently due to observed high percentage of worldwide population being deficient in this essential bioactive vitamin. Primarily, vitamin D was known for its important role bone health. Nevertheless, recent research shown importance brain, heart, muscles, immune system, and skin health, distinct bio-functionality almost every tissue human body. Therefore, deficiency been highly correlated with multiple diseases, including dermatologically associated ones. Moreover, different methodologies are applied synthesize while main sources plasma levels factors that can cause adverse modifications multiple. Further upon exhibited notable against such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, vitiligo, acne, rosacea. In article, a critical review most relevant significant information regarding relationship between health is thoroughly conducted, emphasis given potential uses benefits several cosmetic applications. Current status, limitations, future perspectives potent extensively discussed.

Abstract Background Schizophrenia, a severe mental disorder with complex pathophysiology, involves neurotrophic factors, which play crucial roles in neurodevelopment and neuroplasticity. This study investigated NGF-β BDNF levels chronic schizophrenia their association clinical symptoms, cognitive function, 1,25(OH)₂D levels. Methods In this cross-sectional study, 72 male patients 70 matched healthy controls were enrolled. Psychopathological symptoms assessed using the Positive Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS), function was evaluated Repeatable Battery for Assessment of Neuropsychological Status (RBANS). The serum NGF-β, BDNF, measured. Results Serum (F = 35.239, P < 0.001) 12.669, significantly decreased compared to controls. negatively correlated PANSS negative (beta -0.205, t -2.098, 0.040) positively ( r 0.324, 0.006). Decreased concentrations language deficits -0.301, -2.762, 0.007). Significant associations observed between reduced (B 1.040, 0.001, RR 2.829, 95% CI: 2.101−3.811) 0.526, 1.692, 1.241−2.306). Conclusions Our findings indicated that altered associated vitamin D metabolism. These results provided new insight into etiology schizophrenia.

Coal miners work underground, which means they are likely to be at greater risk of developing Vitamin D deficiency due reduced sunlight exposure. Other industrial health risks may include oxidative stress, respiratory diseases, and inflammatory pathologies. The article describes component composition leaves various Solanaceae used functional foods fortified with antioxidants D. research featured dried tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.), potato (S. tuberosum black nigrum bittersweet dulcamara L.). antioxidant studies involved a comprehensive analysis flavonoids, chlorophyll, carotenoids, volatile organic compounds using ABTS DPPH radicals. content was studied by high performance liquid chromatography. proved compounds. potential confirmed tests. highest belonged (224.7 μg/100 g) (22.8 g), demonstrating good prospects food fortification. tomato, potato, nightshade, makes them promising raw material industry. ABSTRACT Cancer is a prevalent global disease affecting ~20 million individuals, and this burden causes the death of ~9.7 people in 2024. The prevalence rate continuously increasing due to exposure harmful environmental occupational contaminants (toxins chemicals), compromised immune response, genetic modifications, poor lifestyle dietary practices. management cancer challenging demands cost‐effective safe therapeutic strategies. This review accentuates anticancer potential anthocyanins its associated underlying mechanism. Anthocyanins, active components extracted from grapes, berries, black chokeberries, eggplants, currants, sweet cherries, strawberries, plums, red onions, hold antioxidant anti‐inflammatory potential. bioavailability crucial factor imposing their effect, can be improved by microbial phenolic catabolites, provision α‐casein, nano delivery systems. Anthocyanins hinder cell migration, invasion, proliferation inducing apoptosis, suppressing cycle at G0/G1, S, or G2/M stages, modulating signaling pathways such as apoptotic cascades, PI3K/Akt, MAPK, NF‐κB. Moreover, downregulate oncogenes ( Bcl‐2 , MYC HER2 ) improve activity tumor suppressor genes TP53 BRCA1 RB1 ). particularly cyanidin‐3‐ O ‐glucoside, suppress inflammation production pro‐inflammatory cytokines (COX‐2, TNF‐α, IL‐6) colorectal hepatocellular carcinoma. it inhibition mitochondrial dysfunction ovarian cervical malignancies. Although pre‐clinical studies have proved activities, further clinical trials are required validate impact standard dose regimens.
