Due to the beneficial composition of wine pomace, it has found several applications in food industry, mostly form flour or extracts. This study suggests use grape skin separated from pomace as a functional ingredient for fruit bars based on hypothesis that can contribute bar antioxidant potential. Fruit were produced with dried figs/dates, skin, and cocoa/hazelnut mix different proportions (48–70%, 30–50%, 0–2%, respectively). The addition proved total polyphenolic content (TPC) capacity. Furthermore, consumers appeared like newly developed product, up 30% did not have an adverse effect sensory properties. graded A NutriScore value microbiologically compliant safety regulations. These results demonstrate possibility development which be only chemical point view, but also economically feasible environmentally friendly.

Fish gill tissue is a primary organ responsive to acute oxygen deprivation or dissolved (DO) fluctuations in aquatic environments. However, the adaptive mechanism of crucian carp hypoxic stress remains largely unknown. Here, we investigated physiological and transcriptomic changes exposed conditions (dissolved concentration 0.6 ± 0.3 mg/L) for different durations (0 d, 1 2d, 3d, 4 5d). Transcriptomic analysis revealed that hypoxia group (0.6 mg/L DO) exhibited reduction interlamellar cell mass (ILCM) on filaments, compared with control (6.6 DO). With prolonged stress, epithelial cells lamellae became sparse at 3 d 5 vacuoles were increased. A total 3,502 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) identified, hypoxia-specific modules screened through differential expression analysis, weighted gene co-expression network (WGCNA), Bayesian analysis. The apoptosis, necroptosis, efferocytosis FoxO signaling pathways significantly enriched based KEGG enrichment pathway VEGF are expressed, enhancing generation microvessels improving capacity carry oxygen, thus enabling adapt stress. Hypoxia activated glycolysis, enhanced anaerobic metabolism, promoted β-oxidation fatty acids, providing energy maintaining normal eventually antioxidant immune capabilities carp. In summary, this study reveals molecular by which Our findings provide valuable references promoting healthy aquaculture hypoxic-sensitive fish breeding hypoxia-tolerant varieties.

By-products varieties grown northwest Mexico were evaluated. They manually divided into two fractions, skin pulp + seed, subjected digestion. Grape had highest concentration capacity. Catechin exhibited absorption, although 40% compound compromised Catechin, quercetin, protocatechuic acid contained make them attractive for insertion uses, such applications pharmaceutical industries. Additional is required applications, ensuring that these alternative uses are profitable sustainable.

The main objective of this research is to assess the antifungal activity grape pomace extracts four local varieties (i.e., two white, Fetească Albă and Tămâioasă Românească, red, Neagră Negru de Drăgășani), knowing their valuable chemical profile. was evaluated using fungi strains (Aspergillus niger Alternaria alternata). Despite classical extraction method, absolute ethyl alcohol (99–100%): water=1:1 as a solvent, obtained presented high effectiveness. Thus, Românească (TR), (FN), (FA), Drăgășani (ND) were shown have superior antimicrobial against Aspergillus due higher concentration polyphenols. On other hand, FN ND did not exhibit sp., although growth inhibition efficiency lower compared sp. In conclusion, study emphasized strong correlation between analyzed excellent antioxidant potential.

Background: Grape pomace (GP), a by-product of winemaking, is rich source bioactive polyphenols known for their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. While the cardiovascular benefits red grape have received significant scientific attention, therapeutic potential white remains largely unexplored, particularly in glucocorticoid-induced hypertension. Given rising prevalence hypertension oxidative-inflammatory mechanisms underlying its progression, this study investigates effects GP on blood pressure regulation, oxidative stress, pro-inflammatory cytokine expression an experimental model dexamethasone (DEXA)-induced (HTN). By focusing GP, research addresses gap current knowledge proposes novel, sustainable approach to managing through valorising winemaking by-products. Methods: The first concentration used, GP1, was 795 mg polyphenols/kg bw, while second concentration, GP2, 397.5 bw. Results: White extract DEXA_GP1 group had reduced systolic diastolic pressure. with higher content (GP1) prevented elevation serum levels total stress (TOS), malondialdehyde (MDA), index (OSI), lower (GP2) slightly MDA. Both concentrations increased NO Total Thiols, significantly (p < 0.05) than treated lisinopril. tumour necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) all groups where HTN induced. doses TNF-α. Heart tissue studied cytokines (TNF-α, interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6 were not influenced > by either induction or treatment administered. Conclusions: These findings suggest that may serve as promising nutraceutical intervention management, conditions associated stress.
