Due to their contact-free and low-maintenance features, magnetic gears (MGs) have been increasingly investigated amplify the torque of electric motors in vehicles (EVs). In order meet requirements propelling EVs, it is essential design an MG with a high density. this paper, novel flux-focusing Halbach coaxial (FFH-CMG) proposed, which combines advantages flux focusing permanent magnet (PM) arrays. The proposed structure has higher performance greater efficiency than conventional structures. A multi-objective optimization based on surrogate model implemented achieve maximum volumetric density (VTD), torque-per-PM volume (TPMV), efficiency, as well minimum ripple, FFH-CMG. employed approach accuracy less time-consuming compared methods direct finite-element analysis (FEA). FFH-CMG then through 2D-FEA. According simulation results, optimized can VTD 411 kNm/m3, TPMV 830 are significantly larger those existing MGs make very suitable for EV applications.

Abstract The multi‐objective optimal design of double‐sided stator dual‐rotor synchronous reluctance machines (DSS‐DRSynRMs) is a challenging high‐dimensional problem. objective this paper to present new method based on data‐driven models and the principle torque decomposition addressing aforementioned issue. For purpose, 26‐parameter optimisation problem solved by employing proposed consisting three sequential phases. Through method, combination artificial neural network (ANN) recently introduced waveform targeting surrogate model (WTSM) strategy investigated mitigate computational complexity process. Furthermore, electromagnetic performance final has been comprehensively analysed showing significant reduction in ripple rate improved density.
