Heritage and historical buildings often face climate vulnerabilities, decay of technical performance energy inefficiency that threaten their use consequently long-term preservation. Due to urban densification escalating consumption, addressing these vulnerabilities is crucial protect, rehabilitate keeping in cities utilizing renewable sources like solar should have a pivotal role towards sustainable communities. However, integrating technology into faces unique challenges mainly because the significance, non-standard construction methods adopted, valuable original materials. Norway, with its Climate Action Plan substantial portion cultural historic building stock, aims significantly reduce emissions seeking for novel solutions. This paper discusses barriers associated adoption high-sensitive built environment through scoping review. The results outline conservation criteria as challenges, which include viability, feasibility, integration, reversibility, compatibility, reliability safety, non-invasiveness, acceptability. Additionally, review identifies such economic, geographic, technical, conservative, legislative, social factors. Initially, frequency appear academic papers examined. Subsequently, interconnections between are explored assess specific impacts within Norwegian context. This article discusses the impact of urban layout on energy performance residential buildings. A comparative analysis multiple variants land development differing in building only, with all other features being same, including envelope properties and technical equipment, was carried out. The research conducted two selected locations Poznań metropolitan area (Poland), which is located Dfb climate zone (humid continental—warm summer subtype). For each location, following were considered: parallel buildings (12 an orientation towards sides world rotated steps 15 degrees), perimeter frontage buildings, comb-shaped semi-open courtyards (4 open to side world). calculation annual end uses for heating cooling as well peak values. All calculations performed using OpenStudio Application Release v. 1.2.1 software SketchUp plugin. results showed that proper arrangement plot may result significant savings. considered differed terms even by approx. 15%, values hottest days 4–10 times lower comparison least advantageous variants. show slight advantage compact over free-standing total south north facades east west solar heat gain

The recent energy crisis has compelled countries worldwide to focus on production using renewable sources. Consequently, capacity experienced significant growth, with solar playing a substantial role. Interest in systems is increasing day by day, leading widespread installations of systems. Electricity generation based energy, crucial source, particularly witnessed growth developed countries. Turkey emerged as one the demonstrating progress this field. As June 2022, solar-based installed electricity reached 8.479 MW, accounting for 8.35% total capacity. With percentage, ranks among top eight Europe terms capacity, surpassing many advanced European nations. This study examines current status and development Turkey, while also comparing it other that have made strides area. Specifically, since 2019, there been rapid upward trend production, an increase approximately 3.5 MW. While short period, applications continue expand, will intensify their efforts achieve targeted increases at faster pace.
