Introduction Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (R&AI) are now playing a significant role in influencing the future of dentistry, owing to fast advancements technology. The use AI dentistry has already begun enhance patient care streamline operational efficiency. However, there been limited research exploring how dental patients perceive adoption R&AI. Objective To assess evaluate knowledge, concerns, perceptions agreeing undergo treatment its variable forms procedures under R&AI order gain insight into public understanding such advanced technologies. Methods This cross-sectional study was conducted at teaching hospital King Abdul Aziz University Saudi Arabia from July 2023 December 2023. subjects were an open network community different segments, with alternate group ages. A digital questionnaire Google Surveys used. Data analyzed using IBM SPSS version 23 (IBM Corp., Armonk, N.Y., USA). Results evaluated 807 participants about treatment. majority, 78.3%, n = 632, reported having encountered term dentistry; however, they had never any AI-based (91.9%, 742) remained uninterested seizing opportunity (52.8%, 381). Around one-third them also perceived strong disagreement performance robotics alone (39.2%, 316), even if it offered reduced cost compared normal (30.7%, 248). Conclusion study's findings reveal that patients' R&AI-assisted remain inconsistent. While show greater willingness embrace operations, their overall level trust is only mediocre. Patients believe critical for dentist have control over application take full responsibility care.

Published: Jan. 1, 2025

Background: This systematic review aims to assess the effectiveness of 3D occlusal splints (OS) for managing pain and improving maximum mouth opening in temporomandibular joint disorders (TMDs) via randomized controlled trials (RCTs). Materials Methods: Searches were conducted PUBMED, SCOPUS, COCHRANE library. Eligible studies evaluated risk bias (RoB) by two reviewers based on predetermined criteria: generation random sequences, implementation single-operator protocol, inclusion a control group, blinding testing machine operator, uniformity sample preparation, evaluation failure modes, adherence manufacturer's instructions materials, explanation size calculation. If author provided information about examined parameter, study was categorized as having "YES." Conversely, if absent, parameter marked "NO." The RoB each then determined according total number "YES" responses: 1 3 indicated high RoB, 4-6 signified medium risk, 7 8 low RoB. Out 14 articles, 5 RCTs underwent qualitative analysis. Results: Results indicate that OS therapy effectively manages TMD-related reduces TMJ clicking. Additionally, it improves patients with initial limitations. Better symptom management correlates improved quality life TMD sufferers. Conclusions: Further comparative clinical are necessary due remaining uncertainties regarding how specific design fabrication methods may impact outcomes.

Materials Methods: The systematic review was conducted following PRISMA guidelines registered PROSPERO (CDR ID 623251). Using targeted keywords, articles in English published within last 10 years were analyzed from databases such as PubMed, WoS Scopus, selecting only clinical studies human patients. After thorough screening, 20 publications included qualitative analysis, among 734 initially identified. Results: Small OACs (<5 mm) managed conservatively with hemostatic materials, larger defects (>5 required surgical closure, Bichat flap proving highly effective for large defects. Innovative treatments using autologous bone grafts PRF showed promise supporting tissue regeneration. In cases sinusitis, combination FESS intra-oral closure techniques resulted high success rates infection resolution closure. Conclusions: Treatment outcomes OAC OAF are dependent size sinusitis. Multidisciplinary collaboration, along timely intervention adherence medical therapies, is essential successful management. Emerging minimally invasive procedures continue improve patient outcomes, offering hope more sustainable solutions complex cases.
