Devices for assessing the quality of animal environments are important maintaining production animals, thus improving well-being and mitigating pollutant emissions. Therefore, an IoT system was developed preliminarily assessed across various livestock housing types, including those pigs, dairy cows, rabbits. This measures transmits key parameters, such as ambient temperature; relative humidity; light intensity; sound pressure; levels carbon dioxide, ammonia, hydrogen sulfide; particulate matter volatile organic compound concentrations. These data sent from sensors to a gateway then displayed on dashboard monitoring. A preliminary evaluation system’s performance in controlled conditions revealed that device’s accuracy precision were within 2.7% 3.3% measured values, respectively. The deployed three case studies involving rabbit, pig, cow farms. results demonstrated its effectiveness emissions identifying critical situations where gas concentrations exceeded threshold levels, posing risk animals. By systematically applying this technology farms obtain detailed understanding microclimatic air which animals live, welfare can be significantly improved.
