The fishery biology of the invasive Atlantic blue crab Callinectes sapidus in Mediterranean Sea outside eastern sectors basin has been only recently investigated. Here we studied population C. Lesina Lagoon (Adriatic Sea, SE Italy). In total, 838 crabs were captured monthly between February 2021 and January 2022 using fyke nets. Abundances varied seasonally with catches per unit effort ranging 0 1.76 nets−1 d−1 winter summer. Spatial abundances estimated summer by a Carle–Strub procedure ranged 0.06 0.64 m−2. sex ratio (♂/♀) was close to 1:1; males prevailed August September; ovigerous females occurred from April August. males’ size at morphological maturity smaller than (110.6–112.3 mm vs. 122.1–123.1 mm). Seasonal von Bertalanffy growth parameters indicated that, compared males, showed shorter maximum lifespan (5 8 years), higher coefficient K (0.6 0.4 y−1) performance index Ф’ (4.6 4.3), while sizes CW∞ (237.8 232.6 mm) seasonality indices C (0.62 0.57) similar. The reproductive biology of the invasive blue crab Callinectes sapidus was studied in Thermaikos Gulf (Northwest Aegean Sea, Eastern Mediterranean). In two-year survey, 5698 (2897♂/2801♀) crabs were caught with use fyke nets. Total sex ratio (♂/♀) reached equality (1.03:1). female exhibited a protracted period. Mature and ovigerous females exhibit short migratory movements from estuarine inshore waters, where population mostly congregates (0–3 m), move to slightly deeper waters (1–3 m) up 9 m for spawning. A total 340 caught. Their number varied both spatially temporally; they observed 7-month period (April October) clear peak July–August at 3 depth gradient corresponding ≈60% years. Size first sexual maturity (CW50) estimated 113.1 mm CW. Average fecundity ≈790,000 eggs. Experimental trawling showed that (<1 estuaries serve as nursery areas juveniles. Defining spatiotemporal bathymetrical distribution any invaded coastal habitat could be considered key information implementation management policy species.
