Today, phenolic resins are polymers still widely used, with a global production of about 12 million tons/per year. However, their syntheses need the use formaldehyde and phenol, which highly toxic. Notably, is carcinogenic. Therefore, reagents used for synthesis must be substituted by non-toxic compounds to preserve health users. These extensively as char precursor composite-based thermal protection systems. For thermostability, aromatic structures preferred, so this work proposes study substitution aldehydes, well phenol less toxic analogues. The resin composition, chemistry, reaction mechanisms polymerization were deeply studied. thermostability thermomechanical properties also investigated. It was possible terephthalaldehyde replacement 2-hydroxymethylphenol obtain without or formaldehyde, extremely interesting [temperature at 5% mass loss (Td5%) = 390 °C, yield 62%, Tα > 200 °C]. In addition, these remains easy implement upscale.

Summary Garlic peel extracts (GPE) are known to have excellent physiological activity, but research on the pre‐processing of garlic (GP) enhance their bioactivity is limited. The aim this study was evaluate effect two pretreatments applied GP, such as fermentation with Lactobacillus plantarum and heat processing (10 min roasting) extraction solvents (70% v/v ethanol methanol), total phenolic content (TPC), flavonoid (TFC), antioxidant capacity (AC), antimicrobial activity (AA) GPE. Results showed that GPE contained appreciable quantities TPC (50.41 ± 0.19 mg GAE /g) TFC (47.58 1.69 /g), were further improved by both biological thermal along AC AA against food‐spoilage strains ( Escherichia coli , Salmonella typhimurium Staphylococcus aureus Listeria innocua ). Ethanolic extract 48 h‐fermented GP achieved highest (140.65 0.47 (68.8 1.80 QE TEAC‐DPPH (288.88 6.98 μmol TE TEAC‐ABTS (638.39 5.35 lowest MIC (1.25 0.0 mg/mL), showing increase in strong‐positive correlated (Pearson's r > 0.97) 0.90). These findings revealed an innovative approach for valorisation residues through a bioconversion process, which enhances potential source agents possible food applications.

Vanillin, known as the "queen of flavors", is an extensively used and important aromatic compound with multiple functions, including aldehyde, ether, hydroxyl. Converting lignocellulosic biomass-derived substrates to natural vanillin sustainable economical through artificial cell factories. However, inefficiency exogenous enzymes toxic effect on cells limit its production. In this study, pathway reconstruction integration site optimization Saccharomyces cerevisiae enabled production 363.0 mg/L in just four steps, chorismate serving intermediate, by enhancing endogenous shikimate pathway. A feeding strategy further yielded a record titer 533.0 using engineered S. flask shake fermentation. Promoter module adaptation for co-conversion lignocellulose-derived monomers, glucose, xylose, vanillic acid, p-coumaric ferulic toward vanillin. Glycosylation removal product feedback inhibition, achieving 1745.5 glucovanillin multisubstrate. As result, factories achieved de novo synthesized 1339.5 7476.5 (equivalent 3619.4 vanillin) from glucose flasks 5-L bioreactors, respectively. The designed provided alternative industrial resources.
