Industrial waste management is a growing concern, and the valorization of by-products through circular economy approaches represents sustainable solution. In this context, dextran–grape conjugates (PLG–GRAPE) were obtained via grafting reaction grape pomace extract dextran under aqueous conditions. To compare properties polymeric graft with those free extract, total polyphenol content was assessed using Folin–Ciocalteu assay, along stability diffusion studies. addition, in vitro safety evaluations, including Neutral Red Uptake, h-CLAT, skin irritation tests performed to assess biocompatibility. evaluate antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-aging PLG–GRAPE, efficacy assays on keratinocyte fibroblast cell lines full-thickness reconstructed human tissues exposed damaging agents, such as UV radiation pollutants. The results showed that technology preserved phenolic antioxidant activity while improving properties. As demonstrated by studies, favorable biocompatibility profile observed, addition significant capacity reduce oxidative stress inflammation aged cells, thus, attenuating cellular aging senescence. conclusion, study suggests PLG–GRAPE has potential bioactive ingredient for cosmetic dermatological applications, offering effective approach utilizing industrial products.

Skin fibrosis is a dermal lesion associated with inflammatory factors. However, the exact causal relationship between circulating proteins (CIPs) and skin remains unclear. To investigate this potential association mediated effect, Mendelian randomization (MR) two-step MR were used. Summary statistics from genome-wide studies (GWAS) extracted GWAS Catalog for CIPs, blood metabolites (BMs), fibrosis. Two-sample reverse conducted to determine effect of CIPs on Two-step was then performed role BMs in mediating Reverse analysis confirm unidirectional causality BMs, as well Bidirectional revealed negative associations levels T-cell surface glycoprotein CD6 isoform (odds ratio [OR] 0.670 [95% confidence interval [CI] 0.472, 0.951], p = 0.025), Delta Notch-like epidermal growth factor-related receptor (OR 0.779 CI 0.609, 0.998], 0.048), Interleukin-10 subunit beta 0.541 0.332, 0.884], 0.014). Collagens are widely studied proteins given their implications in the skin extracellular matrix and pathological conditions such as fibrosis. Type V collagen is a member of fibrillar collagens, three different polypeptide chains, α1, α2 α3 form isoforms through associations. The third chain, α3, type was initially identified placenta, but after decades, it remains poorly characterized. aim this study to investigate expression localization chain its evolution during aging. identification α3(V) target retinoic acid interaction with metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) investigated. were assessed by immunodetection ex vivo keratinocytes using calcium-differentiated model. variation aging from donors ages. modulation investigated qPCR immunofluorescence biopsies.
