This study examines the impact of mung bean (Vigna radiata) protein consumption on endothelial function in middle-aged adults, focusing antioxidant enzyme activity and anti-inflammatory markers. Mung beans have shown promise enhancing cardiovascular function, lowering blood pressure, improving lipid profiles, but underlying mechanisms these functions remain unclear. Conducted as a three-arm randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, this involved male female participants aged 45 to 60 assigned them consume either placebo or functional drink containing 10 15 g daily for six weeks. Vasodilation was assessed using flow-mediated dilation (FMD), oxidative stress markers, activity, inflammatory markers were measured at baseline after intervention. The results indicate that weeks significantly benefits healthy adults by reducing mediators’ expression. Additionally, increase brachial artery diameter following FMD indicates improved function.

ABSTRACT This network pharmacology study represents a significant step in understanding the potential of Resveratrol as an antidiabetic agent and its molecular targets. Targets for Type 2 diabetes were obtained from MalaCards DisGeNET databases, while targets sourced STP CTD databases. Subsequently, we performed matching to identify common disease‐compound The identified genes analyzed using ShinGO‐0.76.3 database functional enrichment analysis KEGG pathway mapping. A protein−protein interaction was then constructed Cytoscape software, hub identified. These subjected docking dynamic simulations AutoDock Vina Gromacs software. According analysis, influences insulin receptors, endoplasmic reticulum functions, oxidoreductase activity is involved estrogen HIF‐1 pathways. Ten identified, including ESR1 , PTGS2 SRC NOS3 MMP9 IGF1R CYP19A1 MTOR MMP2, PIK3CA . proteins associated with these exhibited high dynamics showed stable ESR1, MMP9, PIK3CA, PTGS2. In conclusion, our work enhances Resveratrol, which future studies should experimentally corroborate.

Seeking food-derived antioxidants and inhibitors of α-glucosidase α-amylase has been recognized as an effective way for managing diabetes. Coffee silver skin (CSS) is rich in phenolic compounds, which may be potential agents inhibition. But whether phenolics different forms show similar bioactivity remains unknown. In this study, compounds CSS were extracted free (FPs), esterified (EPs), bound (BPs). The profiles antioxidant activities them investigated. Their inhibitory effects on analyzed, the mechanisms elucidated by molecular docking dynamic simulation. Results showed that FPs exhibited best ability α-amylase. A total 17 identified with 3-caffeoylquinic acid, 4-feruloylquinic dicaffeoylquinic acids dominant ones. Typical could bind to through hydrogen bonds form hydrophobic interaction several key amino acid residues. addition, 3,4-dicaffeoylquinic might principal components account effect α-glucosidase. results study provide some scientific support utilization a health-beneficial component functional food development type 2 diabetes mellitus management.
