This
study
examines
the
impact
of
mung
bean
(Vigna
radiata)
protein
consumption
on
endothelial
function
in
middle-aged
adults,
focusing
antioxidant
enzyme
activity
and
anti-inflammatory
markers.
Mung
beans
have
shown
promise
enhancing
cardiovascular
function,
lowering
blood
pressure,
improving
lipid
profiles,
but
underlying
mechanisms
these
functions
remain
unclear.
Conducted
as
a
three-arm
randomized,
double-blind,
placebo-controlled
trial,
this
involved
male
female
participants
aged
45
to
60
assigned
them
consume
either
placebo
or
functional
drink
containing
10

g
daily
for
six
weeks.
Vasodilation
was
assessed
using
flow-mediated
dilation
(FMD),
oxidative
stress
markers,
activity,
inflammatory
markers

measured
at
baseline
after
intervention.
The
results
indicate
that

healthy
adults

reducing
mediators’
expression.

brachial
artery
diameter

ABSTRACT
This
