Few cohort studies have evaluated the long-term impacts of ambient fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and its components on reproductive hormone levels in female adults. We conducted a 15-year retrospective study Taiwan between 2003 2017. The two-year average concentrations PM2.5 components, including sulfate (SO42-), nitrate (NO3-), ammonium (NH4+), organic (OM), black carbon (BC), were assessed at each participant's addresses. Linear mixed models used to examine associations with hormones, follicle-stimulating (FSH), luteinizing (LH), testosterone (T), estradiol (E2), prolactin (PRL). Stratified analyses identify vulnerable populations. 17,152 adults included. Each interquartile range (IQR: 3.545 μg/m3) increase was associated 0.585 mIU/mL [95% confidence interval (CI): 0.190-0.980] FSH levels. Among five PM2.5, BC had strongest positive association [each IQR (0.272 0.863 (95% CI: 0.476-1.250) levels], followed by OM, SO42-, NH4+. Similar found for LH, 0.483 0.225-0.742) 0.684 0.431-0.938) LH per BC, respectively. pollutants marginally decreased E2 increased PRL Non-linear FSH, E2, observed. These also positively T among young Post-menopausal women more susceptible chronic components. Our highlighted adverse exposure hormonal homeostasis, revealing biological mechanism air pollution-reproductive health females. Implementing stringent control pollution can benefit adults, even moderately polluted regions.

Reproductive health is a critical determinant of livestock productivity and economic sustainability. However, it often compromised by infectious diseases, environmental stressors, nutritional deficits. Phytogenic extracts—bioactive compounds derived from medicinal plants—have emerged as sustainable alternatives to synthetic antibiotics hormones, exhibiting antimicrobial, antioxidant, immunomodulatory properties. These extracts influence key reproductive processes such follicular development, oocyte maturation, endometrial while mitigating the detrimental effects oxidative stress pathogenic infections. Recent findings suggest that phytogenic extract can enhance performance, improve quality, support pregnancy outcomes. Despite growing body evidence, optimal application strategies full breadth their biological remain insufficiently explored. This review focuses on molecular mechanisms modulated extracts, particularly in context hormone regulation, immune modulation, mitigation. We also identify knowledge gaps propose future research directions optimize use approach enhancing health.

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common endocrine and metabolic disorder in women of reproductive age that encompasses multitude signs symptoms, including hyperandrogenism, polycystic ovarian morphology, ovulatory dysfunction, insulin resistance. The study aims to explore the role aromatic amino acid (AAA) disorders syndrome. A systematic search on databases Scopus, PubMed, Google Scholar until 20 July 2024 over past 5 years regarding metabolomic studies PCOS patients' blood status AAAs resulted 12 related papers. Our review showed AAA pathways are dysregulated, their levels serum plasma patients most elevated due inflammation oxidative stress which, assisted by gut dysbiosis, give rise resistance develops into PCOS. abnormalities can also directly induce defining symptoms through diminished neurotransmitter availability impaired signaling. According our review, perturbations detected every stage pathophysiology, making them valuable biomarkers for early diagnosis management Further investigation biological function, role, impact AAAs, probably alongside other metabolites, BCAAs, could lead discovery new tools preventing managing symptoms.

We aim to evaluate the efficacy and optimal dose of orally administered DHEA in PCOS mice model by assessing their ovarian morphology serum FSH, LH, testosterone levels. Female C57BL/6 were divided into a control group (n=5, received daily injections 0.2 ml sesame oil) an experimental group, which was further classified 1) D-45 (n=5), 2) D-60 3) D-90 (n=5) that treated with 45, 60, 90 mg/Kg body weight oral DHEA. After modelling, had regular estrous cycle, while all groups disturbed cycle. Ovarian histology showed several growing follicles some corpora lutea (CL) control, D-60, groups. However, large antral decreased CL observed group. Serum FSH significantly lower than (3.73 ± 0.12 vs. 5.28 0.31 mIU/mL, P<0.01), but similar level (P>0.05). The LH elevated (2.52 0.43 1.30 0.33 P<0.01 1.80 0.32 1.24 0.23 ng/mL, P<0.01, respectively). Still, comparable Our study suggests administration is efficacious establishing PCOS-like phenotype suggested dosage 45 weight.

Abstract Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is defined as a chronic low-grade inflammatory reproductive endocrine disorder. PCOS can induce various metabolic disorders, which are associated with state of mild and slow-acting inflammation. Nevertheless,it‘s uncertain that the causation about factors. The causality between cytokines was analyzed by bidirectional Mendelian randomization (MR) in this current probe. We performed an interactive MR study to assess causal relationships 91 using Genome Wide Association Study (GWAS) data. underwent dual-sample analysis inverse variance weights (IVW) predominant methodology multiple validity heterogeneity analyses. MR-Egger, weighted median, simple mode, mode MR-PRESSO were likelihood sensitivity analyses enhance final results. The results came out interleukin-1-alpha (IL-1A) levels (odds ratio [OR] = 1.051, 95% fiducial interval [95% CI] 1.009–1.095, P 0.02) oncostatin-M (OSM) ( 1.041, 1.001–1.082, 0.04) positively development PCOS.
