Active suspension is an automotive technology that controls the vertical movements of car wheels through electronically controlled force actuation system. This kind system deals with security and comfort driver passengers simultaneously. Therefore, a digital controller required to regulate dynamics properly. In literature, proportional–integral controllers are often used or combined other techniques stabilize car. However, obtaining optimal gains from this highly dependent on designer’s experience. addition, there some methods for determining gains. these do not ensure Taking into consideration, work presents systematic procedure parametrization active using meta-heuristic optimization algorithm. The optimizer giant armadillo algorithm, which bioinspired in hunting behavior armadillos move towards prey positions digging termite mounds. Numerical simulations indicate feasibility proposed its superiority relation Ziegler & Nichols method, providing reduction 36.36% 39.34% mean absolute error root squared error, respectively.
