Objective: Transient disruption or permanent damage to the left Frontal Aslant Tract (FAT) is associated with deficits in speech production. The present study examined application of theta (4 Hz) high-definition transcranial alternating current stimulation (HD-tACS) over SMA and IFG – as a part FAT- potential multisite protocol modulate neural behavioral correlates motor control. Methods: Twenty-one young adults participated three counterbalanced sessions which they received in-phase, anti-phase sham HD-tACS. In each session, 4 Hz was applied SMA, subsequently EEG data recorded while participants performed Go/No-Go task. Results: Relative anti-phase, in-phase HD-tACS significantly improved reaction time. Neural showed an increase power frontal activity prior initiation for condition compared sham. Moreover, increased phase synchrony between central electrodes. For inhibition, following frontocentral Furthermore, enhanced connectivity electrodes. Conclusion: Overall findings suggest that 4Hz entrained control.Significance: Multi-site hold promise improve control neurogenic communication disorders such apraxia stuttering where integrity FAT compromised.

Abstract Altered brain connectivity and atypical neural oscillations have been observed in autism, yet their relationship with autistic traits non-clinical populations remains underexplored. Here, we employ electroencephalography (EEG) to examine functional connectivity, oscillatory power, broadband aperiodic activity during a dynamic facial emotion processing (FEP) task 101 typically developing children aged 4-12 years. We investigate associations between these electrophysiological measures of dynamics as assessed by the Social Responsiveness Scale, 2nd Edition (SRS-2). Our results revealed that increased FEP-related across theta (4-7 Hz) beta (13-30 frequencies correlated positively higher SRS-2 scores, predominantly right-lateralized (theta) bilateral (beta) cortical networks. Additionally, steeper 1/ f -like slope (spectral exponent) fronto-central electrodes was associated scores. Greater aperiodic-adjusted alpha power further both scores slopes. These findings underscore important links children. Future work could extend assess EEG-derived markers potential mechanisms underlying behavioural difficulties autism.

Concurrent verbal working memory task can eliminate the color-word Stroop effect. Previous research, based on specific and limited resources, suggested that disappearance of conflict effect was due to information preempting resources for distractors. However, it remains unclear which particular stage processing is influenced by loads. In this study, electroencephalography (EEG) recordings with event-related potential (ERP) analyses, time-frequency multivariate pattern analyses (MVPA), representational similarity (RSA) were applied provide an in-depth investigation aforementioned issue. Subjects required complete single (the classical manual task) dual Sternberg combined task), respectively. Behaviorally, results indicated eliminated in dual-task condition. The EEG showed concurrent did not modulate P1, N450, alpha bands. modulated sustained (SP), late theta (740-820 ms), beta (920-1040 ms) power, showing no difference between congruent incongruent trials condition but significant single-task Importantly, RSA revealed neural activation similar response interaction pattern. Together, these findings implied through disrupting stimulus-response mapping.
