Introduction Early diagnosis of oral squamous cell carcinoma can greatly improve treatment success rate and patient survival. Although Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) based Angiography (OCTA) is a promising in vivo technique imaging, there need for objective assessment microvasculature. Methods This study aimed to demonstrate comprehensive methodology quantitative assessing OCTA intraoral scanning results provide measurable, reproducible data avoid subjective visual interpretations. Data were collected from 37 healthy subjects total across four sites—buccal mucosa (n = 32), labial 24), floor the mouth 13), hard palate 8)—using non-invasive swept-source OCT system. Four metrics—vessel area density, vessel skeleton diameter index, newly proposed weighted Tortuosity Index—were used assess images applications. Results The quadruple assessment’s repeatability was evaluated be reliable. Analysis benign ulcer case revealed differences these metrics compared cases. Discussion/Conclusion In conclusion, we demonstrated method quantify microvasculature cavity, showing considerable promise early clinical management diseases.

Abstract This study investigates the correlation between brain age and chronological in healthy individuals using MRI images, aiming to identify potential biomarkers for neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's. To achieve this, a novel attention-based ResNet method, 3D-Attention-Resent-SVR, is proposed accurately estimate distinguish Cognitively Normal (CN) Alzheimer’s disease (AD) by computing gap (BAG). Unlike conventional methods, which often rely on single datasets, our approach addresses biases employing four datasets training testing. The results, based combined dataset from public sources comprising 3844 data points, demonstrate model's efficacy with mean absolute error (MAE) of 2.05 estimation. Moreover, generalizability showcased three testing separate one, yielding remarkable MAE 2.4. Furthermore, leveraging BAG as sole biomarker, method achieves an accuracy 92% AUC 0.87 Alzheimer's detection ADNI dataset. These findings underscore assisting early monitoring, emphasizing strong AD.
