Objectives:
To
explore
the
neuroanatomical
abnormalities
in
idiopathic
tinnitus
patients
by
voxel-based
morphometry
(VBM)
and
surface-based
(SBM)
techniques.
elucidate
central
plasticity
with
normal
or
mild
hearing
loss
from
insights.
Methods:
A
total
of
74
(43
31
loss)
98
healthy
subjects
were
enrolled.
VBM
SBM
employed
to
analyze
neuroimaging
data
identify
differences.
Results:
Our
analysis
revealed
a
reduction
gray
matter
volume
distinctive
pattern
changes
cortical
surface
features
tinnitus,
especially
brain
regions
closely
related
limbic
system,
such
as
bilateral
parahippocampal
gyrus,
entorhinal
cortex,
insula.
Tinnitus
have
more
extensive
reduction,
complex
compared
hearing.
In
addition,
we
also
found
significant
correlation
between
Self-Rating
Anxiety
Scale
(SAS),
Depression
(SDS),
Montreal
Cognitive
Assessment
(MoCA)
scores
characteristic
parameters
above
regions.
Conclusions:
There
are
alterations
patients.
Mild
may
aggravate
change
characteristics
cortex.
