Historic districts are an important component of urban heritage, carrying the memory city. The study provides objective spatial level and subjective perception analysis regarding evaluation renewal historic districts. We selected Qianmen Street, which is located on central axis Beijing, as research subject. Space syntax was used to determine importance main street district, a kernel density revealed that it poor tourist attraction. online comment data establish system, based grounded theory, for Street. system consisted four primary indicators, including space creation, architectural style conservation, locality, business management, well fifteen secondary indicators. Additionally, importance–performance (IPA) conduct quadrant satisfaction in order analyze influencing factors. results show tourists most concerned about dimensions locality but low. district should give priority creation its historicity, cultural characteristics, uniqueness, use small-scale, gradual, sustainable method.

As urbanization accelerates globally, preserving and developing historical cultural districts is increasingly critical, especially in areas with unique value. To understand the development of urban construction diachronic spatial patterns development, this paper focuses on Guiyang, a key transportation hub Southwest China connected to Southeast Asia. It examines from four representative periods: early Ming Dynasty (1413–1420), Qing (1616–1626), Republican era (1912–1949), 1980s (1980–1990). Employing complex network analysis, study investigates changes connectivity characteristics land road networks. Key findings reveal: (1) Stability: The networks stability decreased steadily period 1980s, whereas density exhibited wave-like decline. (2) Centrality: centrality linearly, decrease. (3) Vulnerability: Both showed increased vulnerability, fluctuations during period, but generally reduced vulnerability. analysis also indicates that Guiyang’s district are influenced by shifts social structures, improvements productivity, physical geography area. In mountainous cities limited terrain, forms have transitioned single-center aggregation multi-center aggregation, where administrative expansion not feasible adopted compact strategies. application has proven effective studies, revealing reflect multifaceted internal transformations society, politics, economy, military, culture, significantly impacting formation diverse yet unified national identity. Based these findings, offers recommendations for planning globally.

This study examined the historical compatibility of urban furniture in Harput Sarahatun Mosque Square, Elazığ, Türkiye. It evaluated AI-generated modern and classical-style alternatives using Semantic Differentiation Method. The research aimed to compare existing with AI-assisted designs identify key attributes influencing spatial integration. methodology consists four stages: (1) defining adjective pairs assess through expert opinions literature review; (2) photographing generating (benches, trash cans, lighting elements); (3) determination opinion survey; (4) statistical analysis results descriptive statistics explanatory factor (EFA). study, which was conducted online February 2025, involved 31 experts from architecture landscape disciplines. findings show that is mainly judged by practicality usability, limited attention Modern emphasize innovation, minimalism, contemporary aesthetics. In contrast, appreciated for its compatibility, cultural resonance, aesthetic harmony. The process of urbanization has spurred economic growth and social challenges, necessitating research on public spaces in urban renewal to optimize design, enhance functionality, promote sustainable development, improve residents’ quality life. However, existing studies lack in-depth discussions development trends focal points. This study addresses the gap literature, by conducting a bibliometric analysis using data from Web Science Core Collection database 1 January 2000, April 2024. Using visualization tools such as VOSviewer CiteSpace, examines publication trends, collaborative networks among countries, institutions, authors, co-citation relationships key journals articles, emerging hotspots through keyword analysis. A total 393 papers were analyzed, with China contributing highest number (65), followed United States (51). Leading contributors include Zazzi Michele Anguelovski Isabelle. top three for publications are Sustainability, Cities, Land. Key highlight themes space syntax, nature-based solutions, transportation. These findings have significant implications planning policy, suggesting that future strategies should increasingly incorporate design practices solutions address both environmental challenges. By identifying global highlighting this provides comprehensive overview will help policymakers practitioners align their efforts cutting-edge best more resilient cities.
