Background:
Traditional
and
evidence-based
medicines,
as
seen
depicted
throughout
human
history,
reportedly
first
begin
with
the
application
of
medicinal
plants,
animal
products,
or
inorganic
minerals
a
basic
framework
towards
effectively
engineering
prototypes
generally
aligned
to
pharmaceuticals
medical
nutrition.
The
growing
global
trend
complementary
treatments
for
glaucoma
can
be
explained
by
intraocular
pressure
(IOP)-independent
mechanisms
disease
its
interpretation
progressive
neurodegenerative
disorder.
Unfortunately,
categorical
positions
major
fields
applied
popular
therapies
their
relation
are
consistently
neglected.
Methods:
In
consideration
bibliographic
resources,
most
well-known
online
scientific
databases
were
searched.
Conclusion:
rising
popularity
trends
products
coming
onto
market
cannot
escape
attention
pharmacists
ophthalmologists,
patients
suffering
from
eye
diseases
also
increasingly
looking
such
products.
Most
them
still
lack
knowledge
appropriate
evidence
side
effect
profiles.
Our
proposed
systematic
charts
demonstrate
position
each
mainstream
therapy
sciences
distinctively
unique;
we
could
not
find
any
similar
relevant
illustration
resource
among
published
international
literature.

Abstract
In
recent
years,
nanomaterials
have
demonstrated
broad
prospects
in
the
diagnosis
and
treatment
of
retinal
diseases
due
to
their
unique
physicochemical
properties,
such
as
small‐size
effects,
high
biocompatibility,
functional
surfaces.
Retinal
are
often
accompanied
by
complex
pathological
microenvironments,
where
conventional
diagnostic
therapeutic
approaches
face
challenges
low
drug
delivery
efficiency,
risks
associated
with
invasive
procedures,
difficulties
real‐time
monitoring.
Nanomaterials
hold
promise
addressing
these
limitations
traditional
therapies,
thereby
improving
precision
efficacy.
The
applications
diagnostics
summarized,
they
enable
high‐resolution
imaging
carrying
fluorescent
probes
or
contrast
agents
act
biosensors
sensitively
detect
disease‐related
biomarkers,
facilitating
early
dynamic
therapeutics,
functionalized
nanocarriers
can
precisely
deliver
drugs,
genes,
antioxidant
molecules
target
cells,
significantly
enhancing
outcomes
while
reducing
systemic
toxicity.
Additionally,
nanofiber
materials
possess
properties
that
make
them
particularly
suitable
for
regeneration
tissue
engineering.
By
loading
neurotrophic
factors
into
scaffolds,
regenerative
effects
be
amplified,
promoting
repair
neurons.
Despite
immense
potential,
clinical
translation
still
requires
long‐term
biosafety,
scalable
manufacturing
processes,
optimization

efficiency.

Background:
Glaucoma
is
a
multifactorial
group
of
diseases
characterized
by
progressive
optic
neuropathy.
Intraocular
pressure
(IOP)

successfully

rats

groups:
