A green, rapid, and simple HPLC-External standard method (ESM) a quantitative analysis of multi- components with single-marker (QAMS) were established for the simultaneous determination five nitroimidazole antimicrobials (Metronidazole sodium chloride injection, Tinidazole Ornidazole Morinidazole Secnidazole tablets) in pharmaceutical preparations. The specified drugs chromatographed via HPLC on ZORBAX SB-C18 (150 mm×4.6 mm, 5 μm particle size) analytical column using mobile phase consisting methanol-0.1% v/v triethylamine (26:74 v/v, pH adjusted to 3.0 phosphoric acid) isocratic elution monitored by photodiode array detector at 316 nm. chromatographic separation was accomplished within short run time (less than 20 min) studied analyte. Using metronidazole as internal reference, relative correction factors each constituent calculated established, contents component achieve QAMS. measured results verified ESM. methods validated terms linearity, intra- inter-batch precision, accuracy, stability, recovery. proposed ESM QAMS could simultaneously analyte, they successfully applied above cited preparations excellent accuracy precision. In addition, greenness (AGREE) blue applicability grade index (BAGI) metric tools used evaluate environmental friendliness developed methods. AGREE scores EMS 0.66 0.59, BAGI scored 82.5 77.5, respectively.
