Social media is integral to modern life, particularly for adolescents who spend considerable time online. However, excessive use poses significant risks well-being, especially among are vulnerable compulsive social usage. This study examines factors contributing addiction Vietnamese using the Bergen Media Addiction Scale (BSMAS) and Online Fear of Missing Out Inventory (On-FoMO). A cross-sectional was conducted in Vietnam with participants aged 13 under 18. Snowball sampling used ensure a diverse participant pool. The excluded individuals diagnosed mood disorders maintain population homogeneity. BSMAS, On-FoMO, demographic data, informed consent were collected via an online survey. found high prevalence adolescents, females being more susceptible than males. struggled reduce usage felt distressed when restricted. Background With the increasing prevalence of digital technology, adolescent internet addiction (IA) has become a global concern. Excessive use, especially among adolescents, been linked to various negative outcomes such as poor academic performance, social isolation, and mental health issues. Conducted adolescents Arab origin, our study addressed limitations literature, which predominantly focuses on Western, educated, industrialized, rich, democratic populations. Objective This aimed differentiate between essential nonessential use how they relate IA in early middle well relationship subjective happiness with amount time spent IA. Methods A cross-sectional survey was conducted 377 students from 16 schools Qatar. The measured symptoms using Internet Addiction Diagnostic Questionnaire, participant demographics. To explore age-specific associations, participants were categorized into (age 11-13 years) 14-17 adolescents. Factorial analysis, multiple regression, logistic regression used for statistical analysis. Results Nonessential significantly predicted both (P<.001) showing stronger association. Subjective negatively only greater dissatisfaction led higher risk. Essential did not predict either group. Conclusions Differentiating is crucial understanding highlights importance developmental differences shaping symptoms. findings suggest that interventions at addressing should be age specific focus specifically rather than considering screen general single entity. La adicción a internet es un problema en nuestra sociedad moderna, de tipo psicológica caracterizada por una mayor actividad esta manera genera incomodidad poca tolerancia y negación sus problemas cuando las personas no están línea. Este estudio tiene como objetivo Determinar el nivel estudiantes secundaria institución educativa pública, Cañete- 2023. Para desarrollo la presente investigación se ha seguido dos etapas: Primera etapa: entregó consentimiento asentimiento informado, segunda explica aplica los alumnos test (AIT) que tomo alrededor 10 minutos. Los resultados evaluación adición al internet, obtuvo predominante categoría media con 47%, seguida 34% encuentra (Bajo- muy bajo), 19% categorial (alto-muy alto).

Background/Objectives. Problematic Internet uUse (PIU) is a multifaceted syndrome characterized by excessive or poorly controlled preoccupations, urges, behaviors regarding use leading to significant impairments in daily life and mental health. The aim of the present study analyze mutual relationship between PIU, loneliness, dissociation an adolescent sample, particular evaluating indirect effect on PIU. Methods. A cross-sectional design was used with 243 Italian high school students (69.1% females), from year 9 13 (age: M = 17.1, SD 1.4 years), who participated January June 2020. They completed measures (Generalized Use Scale-2), (UCLA Loneliness Scale), (Adolescent Dissociative Experiences Scale). Socio-demographic contextual variables were also collected (i.e., age, gender, type school, year, sport practice, hobby engagement, assessment before/during COVID-19 pandemic).
