Although
primary
open-angle
glaucoma
(POAG)
is
a
major
cause
of
blindness
worldwide,
patients’
immune
response
and
its
relation
to
the
disease
course
have
not
been
fully
unraveled
in
terms
analyses
circulating
B-cell
subsets,
as
well
association
these
subsets
with
severity
POAG
clinical
features.
Subjects
Methods:
Flow
cytometry
was
used
determine
subset
frequencies
from
30
patients
grouped
by
hierarchical
cluster
analysis
or
mean
deviation
(MD)
visual
field
(VF)
correlated
pathological
data,
BSF-2(IL-6)
CSIF:TGIF(IL-10),
which
were
quantified
peripheral
blood
samples
controls
ELISA.
Results:
The
total
frequency
increased
group
comparison
control
(n
=
30).
Frequencies
specific
such
double-negative
(DN)
naïve
disease.
However,
unswitched
memory
B
compartment
decreased
group.
Other
non-typical
DN
cells
also
showed
significant
changes
according
course.
These
differences
allow
us
identify
severity-associated
inflammatory
clusters
specifically
altered
subsets.
Finally,
ocular
parameters,
biomarkers
inflammation,
other
glaucoma-related
non-clinical
scores
exhibited
correlations
some
subpopulations.
Conclusion:
accompanied
subpopulation,
namely,
cells.
Furthermore,
existing
relationship
parameters
BSF-2(IL-6),
CSIF:TGIF(IL-10)
ratio
suggests
that
lymphocyte
could
serve
potential
molecular
bio-markers
for
assessing
and/or
progression.

Background
