This study deals with the efficacy of extracts Sargassum natans and fluitans, an invasive brown algae present in Guadeloupe, as novel environmentally friendly corrosion inhibitors for iron 1 mol L−1 hydrochloric acid solutions. Six different (SE) were obtained using Soxhlet extraction ethyl acetate, acetone, ethanol, respectively, solvents; cold successive maceration chloroform methanol, respectively; microwave-assisted water. Subsequent electrochemical analysis showed that from ethanol acetate exhibited remarkable inhibition efficiencies of, 72.6% 70.2%, but better one was extract efficiency 92.0%. These findings allow us to focus on (SEd) order see change happening during process via SEM EDX analyses. Also, NMR conducted identify main chemicals responsible anticorrosion effect. The successful demonstration inhibitor effectiveness fluitans suggests a potentially valuable use this biomass. encouraging results warrant further investigation elucidate active these deepen our understanding their mechanisms prevention expand utility conscious approach control.
