ABSTRACT The issue of corrosion prevention for steel has long been a subject that draws widespread concern in the relevant fields. This study focused on preparation anti‐corrosion coatings Q235 surfaces. Waterborne epoxy resin (WEP) served as film‐forming matrix, with SiO 2 and Al utilized fillers. Three groups samples, namely WEP, WEP/SiO , /Al, were prepared. innovation was introduced coating process, where silica sol substituted powder, effectively augmenting dispersion filler within WEP matrix. morphologies characterized using metallographic microscope scanning electron (SEM). Results showed compared to coating, /Al had fewer surface defects. For mechanical property evaluation, pencil hardness adhesion tests carried out. It found synergistically boosted maximum 4H while maintaining similar grade coating. Static water contact angle (WCA) indicated WCA values 79° 81°, higher than (76°), retained good hydrophobicity after 20 wear cycles. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy revealed value reached 2.17 × 10 8 Ω cm which is Moreover, its potential shifted positively by 248.8 mV signifying significant enhancement performance. excellent comprehensive performance can be attributed fact enhance properties
