Introduction Food safety remains a challenge in developing nations, including Ethiopia, where dairy products are known to be contaminated with foodborne pathogens. Limited food interventions studies for improving along the supply chain have been conducted. The objective of this intervention study was improve knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAPs) women farmers central highlands Ethiopia by delivering training customized their education level. Methods A total 120 were recruited from local milk cooperatives collection centers at four sites. Training materials on clean production hygienic milking developed an audience that may not able read or write. 3-day curriculum delivered using theoretical lecturing, video presentation, practical activities, handouts, learning assessed questionnaire checklist. Results indicated improved attitude, relating quality production. However, shade assessments individual identified many important risk factors due infrastructure issues. Discussion effectiveness approach supported increase KAPs assessment scores pre-training post-training all Comparisons outcomes evaluation results shades found counterintuitive, which revealed complexity interventions.
