proliferation

differentiation.
Overexpressed
neurodegenerative
diseases

cancer,
TSPO
radioligands
have
been
developed
over
the
last
20
years
positron
emission
tomography
(PET)
imaging.
Recently,
extended
beyond
their
initial
application
due
to
specific
binding
activated
macrophages,
making
them
a
compelling
biomarker
for
deciphering
intricacies
of
tumor
microenvironment
(TME).
In
this
review,
we
synthesized
recent
progress
from
evaluation
TSPO-specific
PET
tracers
various
peripheral
models
highlighted
hurdles
limitations
associated
with
heterogeneous
uptake
healthy
tissue
regions

Background
