This study aimed to investigate the structural relationships among students’ expectations, perceived enjoyment, usefulness, satisfaction, and their intention continue using smart library services, drawing on Expectation-Confirmation Model (ECM). The participants were international students in Jiangsu Province, China, who utilized services for academic purposes. Data was gathered through an online survey consisting of 15 items, yielding a total 1022 responses analysis. SEM-PLS CB-SEM, along with cIPMA, are used analyze data. results revealed that (a) higher satisfaction regarding expectations toward positively related perception enjoyment (b) usefulness have direct positive influence reuse these (c) significantly influences services. concludes discussion implications findings offers suggestions future research.

Published: March 26, 2025

As virtual reality (VR) becomes increasingly integrated into educational settings, understanding preservice teachers’ (PSTs) perceptions and training needs is crucial for effective classroom implementation. Although existing research emphasizes VR’s benefits, limited studies have explored how direct, hands-on VR experiences impact PSTs’ intentions to adopt this technology. This mixed-methods study addresses gap by examining factors influencing willingness identifying challenges hindering adoption following immersive activities using Oculus Quest. Structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis indicated that perceived usefulness enjoyment directly influenced VR, whereas self-efficacy indirectly through usefulness. Qualitative findings revealed initial reluctance primarily due low knowledge, decreased after experiences, leading increased integrate their teaching practices. However, concerns regarding appropriateness young learners, potential health risks such as motion sickness, management persisted. These results underscore the need targeted in teacher education programs, focusing on enhancing enjoyment, while addressing pedagogical health-related barriers.

Published: May 3, 2025

ABSTRACT The rapid growth of artificial intelligence (AI) has transformed the educational field by providing efficient assistance for personalised learning. Despite promising opportunities AI presented, impact tools on students' learning outcomes in language settings yet to be further explored, as well their potential enhance academic engagement this specific domain. Therefore, based framework Self‐Determination Theory (SDT), research aims examine role behavioural, cognitive, and emotional improving needs satisfaction specifically among 300 Chinese tertiary learners AI‐enhanced EFL context. A mixed‐methods approach was used collect data from college students, combining self‐report surveys semi‐structured interviews. Results quantitative showed that perception significantly Also, qualitative findings suggested while are critical facilitators adopting AI‐assisted learning, perceived difficulties unmet significant barriers long‐term usage. Moreover, study contributes SDT highlighting enhancing offering practical strategies educators improve application adoption effectiveness contexts.

Introduction In response to the growing adoption of digital education technologies, this study explores factors influencing continuous use innovative learning platforms among students in higher vocational education. Recognizing that technological performance and psychological experiences shape user engagement, research extends Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) by integrating constructs such as perceived trust, enjoyment, ideological alignment, states—including satisfaction, wellbeing, anxiety. Methods Data were collected from 782 college China using an online questionnaire. Participants represented diverse academic fields (e.g., liberal arts, sciences, engineering, arts) balanced terms gender (44.28% male 55.72% female). Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was applied assess direct indirect relationships key variables, including usefulness, ease use, system quality, expectation confirmation, indicators anxiety subjective wellbeing. The mediating role wellbeing also tested evaluate its influence on continued platform usage. Results Perceived enjoyment emerged strongest predictor continuance intention ( β = 0.52, p < 0.001), underscoring central affective engagement promoting sustained use. usefulness 0.38, 0.01) confirmation 0.31, exerted significant positive effects, supporting cognitive appraisal mechanisms outlined TAM Expectation-Confirmation Theory. Interestingly, trust negatively affected satisfaction −0.13, 0.05), possibly due a mismatch between institutional expectations, which may lead strain. System quality had no impact 0.05, > suggesting users view reliability baseline requirement rather than driver. Moreover, wellbeing—defined lower anxiety—is mediated experience Discussion These findings highlight need for address expectations resilience. While usability remain essential, designers must foster emotional manage trust-based expectations. Platforms overlook dimensions risk diminishing long-term retention. Conclusion Sustaining with requires holistic approach balances functional mental This offers important theoretical practical insights educators, developers, policymakers aiming create emotionally supportive pedagogically effective environments.
