Engaging Students in a Professional Ethics Course: Perspectives from Saudi Undergraduates

The
Professional
Ethics
course
at
King
Saud
University
is
part
of
the
mandatory
Islamic
culture
curriculum
in
Saudi
higher
education.
While
more
attention
has
focused
on
development
courses,
less
emphasis
been
placed
teaching
methods.
This
article
initiates
a
discussion
integrating
practical
learning
approaches
to
improve
student
engagement
and
understanding
these
courses.
research
explores
undergraduate
students’
perspectives
project-based
(PBL)
implemented
course.
Both
quantitative
qualitative
data
were
collected
through
survey
disseminated
among
students
this
(N
=
113).
findings
show
that
found
experience
engaging
enjoyable.
They
reported
improvements
teamwork
leadership
but
faced
challenges
time
management,
task
division,
communication.
Students
suggested
clearer
guidelines,
smaller
groups,
flexible
deadlines.

aim
of
this
chapter
is
to
analyze
how

games

non-educational
