Software-defined networking (SDN) divides a traditional network into programmable data plane and centralized control plane. This technology is expected to transform companies that provide flexible intelligent operations. The core component utilized oversee every action the controller in In order achieve optimal performances, controller’s performance capabilities are therefore crucial. There lots of research available existing literature. Nevertheless, no qualitative comparison study OpenFlow-enabled distributed but logically controllers exists for them. article also includes quantitative investigation several SDN custom scenarios using Mininet, as well thorough More precisely, we give evaluation their attributes classify categorize 13 according capabilities. Additionally, offer comprehensive emulation tool called Mininet-based assessment this study. Using six metrics—bandwidth, round- trip time, delay, jitter, packet loss, throughput—this work assesses five against two (uniform non-uniform host distribution). Our shows OpenDayLight performs best across all criteria, with exception loss round where Ryu excels. entire experiment, HyperFlow ONOS worst terms metrics. Finally, discuss detailed findings on performance. These experimental results decision-making guideline when selecting controller.

Summary One of the expanding network topologies that is frequently utilized to improve development by successfully separating control plane and data software‐defined networking (SDN). In order function inside complex sensor networks, SDWSN system relies on centralized controller logic pulls global information. wireless networks (WSNs), using several SDN controllers known as a promising strategy due reliability performance considerations. However, numerous increases synchronization overhead between controllers. Consequently, it difficult research challenge discover best placement enhance WSN, subject maximum number calculated based overhead. This introduces novel technique overcome problem (CPP) optimizing multi‐constraints within networks. For selecting optimal placing them in an location, sailfish optimization (SO) introduced can search space maintain values throughout iteration. Then, node clustering performed fuzzy‐C‐means (FCM) technique, which reduce energy consumption path delay network. The overall latency obtained proposed method about 0.51 0.56 ms, total run time 4 ms for both single sink multi‐sink, respectively. implemented MATLAB platform, different metrics are analyzed compared with existing techniques.

Software Defined Networking (SDN) introduced the third layer, known as control due to which management and updating of devices became easy. The layer in SDN provides an additional remote controlling feature devices, offers better over traditional hardware networks. Traditional networking uses a hardwired mechanism for apparatus, slow complicated approach. Unlike conventional networks, where every device needs be updated separately, Control handles all simultaneously. Only one command from can change, update, manage hundreds ONOS is most popular widely used Open Source controller. So far, efforts have been made improve performance availability fault tolerance than any other controller available. However, no security module Controller protect itself DDoS attacks.
