Background: The global aging population necessitates specialized tools for complex geriatric health issues. Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (CGA) provides multidimensional evaluations of elderly, integrating inputs from various professionals to create individualized care plans. This study aims visually assess the research trends and hotspots in field CGA, review mainstream perspectives this field, provide a foundation future treatment. Methods: Original articles related comprehensive assessment, published 2004 December 2023, were extracted Web Science database. Four different software tools—CiteSpace, VOSviewer, Bibliometrix R package, Online Analysis Platform Bibliometrics—were utilized analysis. Results: According our retrieval strategy, we found total 4,411 literatures. There has been substantial increase on assessment past 20 years. These publications have cited 157,366 times, with mean 35.68 citations per publication. largest number US, Italy ranked second (14.98%). Keyword burst concurrence showed that "randomized trial", "adjuvant chemotherapy" "breast cancer" top 3 most frequently occurring keywords. Conclusion: Our bibliometric analysis reveals significant growth CGA over two decades, shift cancer-focused studies chronic conditions like frailty sarcopenia. findings highlight evolving priorities underscore need integrate technological advancements, such as AI, enhance precision, scalability, cost-effectiveness diverse settings.
