The preservation and innovation of traditional craftsmanship under industrialization pressures constitute critical challenges for cultural sustainability. Focusing on Chengdu lacquerware—a Chinese intangible heritage facing multifaceted dilemmas—this study develops a digital methodology its systematic documentation contemporary adaptation. Through computational analysis 307 historical artifacts spanning four categories (carved silver mercer, carved lacquer hidden flower, filling, broach needle carving), we established three-phase framework: (1) image preprocessing 280 qualified samples using adaptive binarization Canny edge detection ornament extraction, (2) chromatic via two-stage K-means clustering to decode color schemes, (3) creation repository encompassing profiles ornamental elements. resource library facilitated three practical applications: modular recombination high-frequency motifs, cross-media design adaptations, interactive visualization processes. Technical confirmed that effectively mitigated noise compared conventional methods, while secondary enhanced scheme representativeness. These advancements demonstrate structured archiving coupled with can reconcile aesthetics modern requirements without compromising authenticity. workflow provides transferable model preservation, emphasizing rigorous alongside reuse mechanisms.
