Optimal Power Flow (OPF) techniques play a vital role in power operation and allocation of power. The research article focuses on comprehensively reviewing OPF algorithms, with primary aim optimising efficiently operating networks. review spans objective functions, constraints solution algorithms. It discusses classical approaches, such as linear programming, explores meta-heuristic like genetic simulated annealing, etc. provides an exhaustive overview these highlighting their strengths, limitations applications solving complex problems. The accuracy of the modeling fuel cell is important for achieving precise simulation results. This article presents a newly developed optimization method "Chaotic MayFly algorithm" (CMOA) obtaining proton exchange membrane (PEMFC) parameters. research mainly targets an accurate PEMFC that provides good match between results and those measured practically. The recently introduced Marine Predators Algorithm (MPA) exhibits competitive performance in solving optimization problems. However, it often prematurely converges due to an imbalance between its exploration and exploitation capabilities. Therefore, this paper, improved MPA variant using a proposed Local Escaping Operator (LEO) is introduced. In the MPA, solution candidates are replaced by better from previous iteration, mimicking memory of already visited prey-abundant areas. This indicates weak inter-dependence population possible acceptance new created outside algorithm without damaging process. Consequently, approach, worst with solutions LEO. LEO based on representative solutions, taking into account relationship predators characteristics their population. approach experimentally compared state-of-the-art meta-heuristics 82 test functions, including IEEE Congress Evolutionary Computation suites (CEC'14 CEC'17) three engineering results show superiority LEO-MPA over recent algorithms.
