Abstract An important component of the deep decarbonization worldwide energy system is to build up large-scale utilization hydrogen substitute for fossil fuels in all sectors including industry, electricity sector, transportation and heating. Hence, apart from reducing production costs, establishing an efficient suitable infrastructure storage, distribution becomes essential. This article provides a technically detailed overview state-of-the-art technologies infrastructure, physical- material-based storage technologies. Physical-based means its compressed gaseous, liquid or supercritical state. Hydrogen form liquid-organic carriers, metal hydrides power denoted as storage. Furthermore, primary ways transport hydrogen, such land via trailer pipeline, overseas shipping some related commercial data, are reviewed. As key results this article, compared with each other. comparison recommendations building appropriate systems according different application scenarios.
