This study investigates the reprecipitation of crude oil maltene using lower carbon number solvents and reduced solvent volume. Single binary n-alkane mixtures were used to induce composition changes in oil. The resulting precipitates are fractionated analyzed UV-visible spectroscopy. resin absorbance content increases with higher numbers; heptane(C7) > hexane (C6) pentane (C5) single phased precipitation. In mixtures, total relative follows order C6:C7 C5:C7 C5:C6. Higher volumes yielded content. (C5), mixture (C5:C6) highest ratios better precipitate Moreso, equal volume favourable for

Background:: Organosulfur compounds within petroleum have far-reaching consequences for the refining industry, combustion of products, and environmental quality. They induce corrosion in equipment, hamper efficient burning contribute to degradation. In high-density asphalt crudes, these are predominantly concentrated asphaltenes. However, crude oils with extremely high sulfur content, may be distributed across four constituent families defined by SARA analysis oil composition. These compounds, characterized differing polarities, can trigger formation a dispersed phase, whose destabilization results tube clogging issues. Methods:: The research problem focuses on understanding how composition affects phase low-polarity organic dispersion media sulfur-containing hydrocarbons. It is investigated because presence significantly behavior phases, which result operational quality issues comprehensively assess impact dynamics stability this we introduce mesoscopic model based master equation. This considers molecular structure system components their properties, established through computational quantum chemistry statistical thermodynamics tools Results:: While our two-phase system, theoretical insights suggest that increased content escalates likelihood destabilizing phase. adverse effect mitigated incorporating additives capable reducing polarizability medium. novelty lies development stochastic predict interactions processes, offering into influence behavior. Conclusion:: A model, structure, predicts accelerated concentration, reaching non-equilibrium steady states. Limitations include ad hoc transition probabilities exclusion factors like density viscosity. Real complex compositions, exhibit different medium enhances system. Our work sheds light intricate interplay between performance systems, potential solutions mitigate Quantitative concentration. Qualitatively, processes were explored, highlighting sulfur's dynamics.
