This study examines how patents on green technologies impact Algeria's ecological footprint from 1990 to 2022 while controlling for economic growth and energy consumption. The objectives are analyze the asymmetric effects of positive negative shocks in these drivers provide policy insights leveraging innovations minimizing environmental harm. Given recent major structural shifts economy, time series data exhibits nonlinear dynamics. To accommodate this nonlinearity, employs an innovative autoregressive distributed lag approach. findings indicate that upsurge (termed as a shock) significantly reduces footprint, thereby enhancing sustainability. Interestingly, decline also contributes reducing footprint. highlights crucial role clean mitigating damage both scenarios. Conversely, shock increases underscoring imperative environmentally friendly policies tandem with expansion. Negative shocks, however, have minimal impact. In similar vein, consumption underlining importance transitioning towards cleaner sources. has smaller but still noticeable effect. results confirm impacts, changes affecting differently. ensure long-term stability, Algeria should prioritize eco-innovation technology development. will reduce dependence fossil fuels create new, sustainable industries.

Climate change represents a grave challenge to the global economy, environment, and societal well-being, jeopardizing their long-term sustainability. In response this urgent issue, study emphasizes significance of environmental policy energy transitions as fundamental factors in addressing climate crisis. The research draws upon data from OECD countries spanning period between 1990 2020, utilizing robust econometric techniques assess properties. utilizes comprehensive CS-ARDL model, incorporating multiple control variables like non-renewable GDP, foreign direct investment (FDI), development (R&D). results show that are effective reducing impacts form CO2 emissions. non-environmental GDP FDI positively associated thereby accelerate processes, whereas R&D promotes protection by Based on these findings, advocates for implementation rigorous measures economies strengthen enforce policies ensure compliance foster sustainable practices across sectors. also suggests must promote investing renewable sources at mass level (micro macro) phasing out reliance energy.

Over the past few decades, ecological damage has been humanity's greatest threat. It is possible that factors such as green technology innovation, environmental policy, and renewable energy consumption can play an essential role in process of achieving sustainability. Therefore, present study aims to investigate impact consumption, along with economic growth, trade openness, urbanization, on sustainability presence Kuznets curve hypothesis for a group G-7 economies from 1994 2018. For this purpose, we employed long-run mean estimation approaches (FMOLS, DOLS, FE-OLS) Panel Quantile Regression technique produce heterogeneous results at various levels footprint. For purpose, we employed autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) model wavelet coherence approach analyze interconnections among variables. cointegration results confirm long-run association between our Our findings show that GDP has a positive emissions, while square negative impact, thus confirming presence EKC hypothesis. Further, prices have detrimental both in long- short-term; contrary, promote environmental degradation. We propose some important policy recommendations based these address constraints.
