Abstract In this study, the effect of potassium salts on sawdust pyrolysis with respect to kinetics and thermodynamic parameters was investigated. Kinetic triplet (activation energy, pre‐exponential factor, reaction mechanism) properties (enthalpy change, entropy Gibbs free energy) were determined using isoconversional Criado's master plot methods, respectively. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) carried out in N 2 environment at 5, 25, 50°C/min from 30 800°C. A series analytical techniques utilized fully characterize raw materials. Analysis TGA data performed model. The results suggested that addition carbonate showed catalytic thermal degradation by affecting kinetic triplets properties. However, presence chloride is a complex either promoting or deterring primarily dependent degree conversion.

Coffee silverskin, a by-product of coffee processing, was studied using microscopic (SEM), spectroscopic (FTIR), and thermogravimetric (TGA, DSC) methods to assess its use as substitute filler in the manufacturing plywood. TGA showed that material compatible with plywood hot pressing temperatures (140 °C) it thermally stable up 50 °C, notable decomposition event at 335 °C. Functional groups like hydroxyl carbonyl were detected by FTIR analysis, indicating possible hydrogen bonds chemical adaptability. DSC analysis confirmed structural alterations highlighting endothermic processes associated dehydration an exothermic transition over 150 silverskin substituted rye flour adhesive compositions different concentrations (0%, 1%, 5%, 10%, 20%). Due constraints filler, larger (10% 20%) dramatically lowered bonding strength, whereas low amounts (1% 5%) attained strengths equivalent flour, reaching 5 N mm−2, according internal bond strength tests. SEM images revealed smaller, more fragmented, porous particles than larger, compact particles, which affected mechanical interlocking adhesion. The findings point environmentally friendly performance-balancing for conventional fillers, especially medium levels.
