Energy is regarded as a crucial facilitator of social and economic advancement, and, consequently, sustainable development. The concept energy development has evolved to become significant political objective addressed by governments worldwide. Agriculture substantial impact on environmental footprint, playing pivotal role in causing climate change. this article address research gap concerning monitoring agricultural within European Union. assessment sustainability complex process since it multidisciplinary field study with practical implications. progress was evaluated through comprehensive analysis relevant literature statistical data obtained from Eurostat database Research Institute Organic FiBL. encompasses period between 2015 2022. employs taxonomic method, specifically linear ordering method (standardised sum method), enables construction synthetic measure. This approach enabled creation rankings comparisons Union countries. studies show that Union, agriculture territorial differentiation. measures countries highest scores (Estonia, Sweden, Finland, Austria) were 2–3 times higher than lowest (Cyprus, Belgium, Greece, Bulgaria). A similar situation observed for measures—the maximum Bulgaria, Slovakia, Lithuania) about two minimum (Poland, Malta, Slovenia, Luxembourg). findings indicate that, one hand, there have been favourable developments at national level Europe, but also are number existing disparities, together evidence potentially deviations targets set out 2030 Agenda.

Understanding the mechanisms by which combination of green marketing components fosters local sustainable development is crucial for global regions in achieving United Nations’ goals. Utilizing panel data from China’s provinces 2011 to 2022, this study employs DEA model assess both static and dynamic efficiencies across 31 provinces. Subsequently, drawing on 6P theory element combination, selects human input, capital energy technological output, economic ecological output as causal variables, with index serving outcome variable. By integrating fsQCA method, identifies four distinct configurations: a “single input–multiple output” model, “multiple input–single an “input–output” linkage “input-driven” model.
