Distributed photovoltaic (PV) in the distribution network accounted for an increasing proportion of network, and power quality problem is more significant. In this paper, voltage regulation methods low-voltage networks containing high-penetration PV are investigated. First, working principles four control introduced: energy storage system configuration, regulating reactive output inverters, restricting active PV, adjusting switching positions on-load regulator trap changer reconfiguration, then, combination with recent related research, optimization each method compared horizontally its respective concerns characteristics. The studies to find out focus characteristics method, shortcomings explored. Coordinated through multiple flexibility resources has become mainstream scheme, considered from perspective resources. three types resources, namely, source, storage, have been widely used regulation. Although load-side one main new type system, current study introduces less about participation LV advancing application future research. Then, important role described parts, development trend, suggestions promoting coordination source-network-load-storage aiming promote networks, programs proposed technological challenges faced by context today’s emphasizing interaction load, technologies solving problems prospected, a view providing certain reference value actual operation systems.
