It is known that the energies associated with reactive power periodically exchange between supply and energy storage component(s) of capacitor and/or inductor. However, may be altered by electronic devices without capacitors or/and inductors, which cannot reasonably explained following electrical theory. In this work, transmission, dissipation, electromagnetic either a sinusoidal alternating current or an wave traveling in transmission line are addressed; positive definite expression time-averaged stored density instead usual non-positive one proposed. demonstrated that, under certain conditions, product voltage intensity applied to represent instantaneous power, active consistent dissipated energy. related part energy, indicates relates considered circuit. Furthermore, it shown influences thyristors on attributed change (fundamental frequency) induced thyristor contribution resistor also alter value power. This work helpful establish bridge theory Poynting’s theorem, deepen understanding improve

Considering the widespread presence of switching devices on power grid (including renewable energy system inverters), network distortion is more prominent. To maximize efficiency, our goal to minimize these distortions. Measuring voltage and current total harmonic (THD) using meters other specific equipment, assessing factor peak currents, represents a crucial step in creating an efficient stable smart grid. In this paper, we propose meter capable for measuring both standard electrical parameters quality such as factors. The resulting device compact DIN-rail-mountable, occupying only three modules cabinet. It integrates wired wireless communication interfaces multiple protocols, Modbus RTU/TCP MQTT. A microSD card can be used store configuration record measured values case fault events, device’s continuous operation being ensured by integrated backup battery situations. was calibrated tested against industrial meters: Siemens SENTRON PAC4200, Janitza UMG-96RM, Phoenix Contact EEM-MA400, obtaining overall average measurement error 1.22%.
