Universities, as hubs of economic, technological, and social knowledge development, have increasingly adopted metric-based strategies to guide resource management monitor their growth. The Sustainable University World Ranking, UI GreenMetric, is widely applied for this purpose, measuring performance across six categories aligned with the United Nations Agenda 2030—Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This study focused on assessing information concerning water category ranking, or five indicators, at School Arts, Sciences, Humanities São Paulo, estimate its classification. methodology involves current situation university in terms each indicator, classifying it according ranking guidelines. obtained treated evidence posterior validation ranking. findings indicate satisfactory indicators 1, 3, 5. Notably, implementation rainwater collection storage systems has been successful, alongside maintaining potable parameters consumption within campus, well use efficient water-saving devices. Indicators 2 4, related effluent treatment reuse, are expected achieve higher classifications reactivation wastewater system’s operation. Over period from May 2023 June 2024, average daily was measured 52.89 ± 25.23 m3 day−1, a per capita rate 10.28 L consumer agent−1 day−1. An anticipated 20% reduction upon incorporation reuse initiatives. GreenMetric framework found strategic useful diagnostic tool, facilitating identification areas requiring improvement guiding efforts toward enhancing sustainability institution.
