Purpose
This
study
aims
to
explore
the
current
development
status,
spatiotemporal
evolution,
and
spatial
effects
of
niche
fitness
in
China’s
regional
digital
innovation
ecosystems
(DIEs),
providing
guidance
for
coordinated
innovation.
Design/methodology/approach
Utilizing
ecological
theory,
this
develops
an
evaluation
system
DIEs
fitness,
calculates
evolutionary
momentum
across
31
provinces
(including
municipalities
autonomous
regions,
excluding
Hong
Kong,
Macau
Taiwan)
China
from
2014
2022
analyzes
their
characteristics.
And
a
dynamic
Durbin
model
is
employed
assess
effects.
Findings
The
findings
reveal
that
2022,
exhibited
overall
upward
trend,
particularly
eastern
regions.
Fitness
was
higher
east
south
lower
west
north.
Resource
technology
steadily
increased,
while
community
slightly
declined.
Both
individual
element
demonstrate
significant
temporal
inertia,
with
also
exhibiting
spillover
Originality/value
applies
theory
DIEs,
offering
novel
perspective
on
dynamics
theoretical
support
optimizing
policies,
promoting
balanced
advancing
twin
transition
process.

study
aims
to

construction

regional
dual
control

energy
consumption

from

synergy
between
civilizations,
consumption.
Our
findings
indicate
following:

intermediary
role
in
reducing
intensity,
impact
is
constrained
“Jevons
paradox”.
(3)
Advancements
concurrently
promote
alleviation
reshaping
social
consensus
behavioral
norms.
(4)
The
civilizations
further
amplify
efficacy
consumption,
although
exhibits
pronounced
polarization
effect
neighboring
regions.
theoretical

are

Firstly,
it
proposes
governance
paradigm
“technology–culture”
collaborative
hub,
breaking
binary
opposition
determinism
institutional
embeddedness.
Secondly,
constructs
“feasible
ability”
expansion
model
